Wice Enters U.S. Market, Opening Headquarters in Austin, Texas

Wice is the world’s first true wine ice cream—a luxurious blend of real wine and super-premium ice cream, featuring flavors like Riesling/vanilla/raspberry and Merlot/chocolate/sour cherry. Unlike typical “infused” products that lose most of their alcohol content during processing, Wice’s innovation lies in its proprietary method of keeping wine's alcohol content frozen and intact—resulting in a dessert that contains up to 50% actual wine.

Founded by Sofija Atanasova, CEO of The Matryoshka Ltd., Wice is the result of two years of research and development. Her team solved the complex chemical problem of reconciling wine’s low freezing point (-18°C) with the creamy texture of ice cream (which freezes at 0°C). This technological breakthrough has broad implications not only in food and beverage, but also in health and wellness sectors.
